Find a domain name end user

Sell a domain name to an end user

I SUPPOSE the first thing I have to decide before seeking end users is which of my domain names I’m going to offer them.

Some of my names I registered for personal and family use, and some with clear ideas in mind for development. Others I can see the potential of, but know in my heart that their development is, for one reason or another, beyond me.

Before choosing, I have another consideration in mind. This is that I should perhaps choose the first lot of domain names from those I registered earliest, as otherwise I may find myself faced with the dilemma of whether or not to renew them for another year or drop them.

There are also some names that I chose for their keywords, in the hope of making a little money on parking them, although there were not so many of those at the start, so they probably won’t count in this exercise.

A final group of names that I feel I can’t consider at the moment is those that are brandable rather than containing clearly generic terms. At this stage it’s difficult enough to know where to go with the names that have an obvious application to an existing business, without trying to matchmake between one of my more esoteric names and such a business.

All these considerations narrow the field of choice somewhat. When I take the domains due in March 2009 and remove those registered for personal or family use, those I would particularly like to develop myself, and those like Awaky.com and Tropu.com that may be a more difficult match, I am left with these names:

Looking at the list, it now becomes clear to me that way back in March I was investigating business names as my niche. The financial world has since been turned topsy-turvy and, although some of these names are certainly highly topical, I am not sure that there is going to be anyone out there just now who would be attracted by them.

So that gets rid of : ChoiceStocksandShares.com, BestBricksandMortar.com, RisingYield.com, YourMarketGuru.com, BigInvestmentIdeas.com, MyMarketTips.com, LBOSpecialist.com, LBOSpecialists.comGatherRiches.com, 11000Barrier.com, SuperNormalReturns.com, IShareOut.com, LustForGold.com, LustForSilver.com, LustForJewelry.com, CommoditiesAndCollectibles.com

I have, however, left in more positive financial names. Perhaps there would be a bank or accountant somewhere who would like to own such hopeful domains as:

BustToBoom.com

BankRevamp.com

DollarRecovery.com

PhoenixLike.com

Well, I think that’s enough work for now. Next time I will aim at refining my reduced list further.
